Latest Updates from Our Project:

The Elemental
almost 3 years ago – Sat, May 29, 2021 at 11:41:12 PM

Hello!

As you surely have already noticed, Elementallis is all about the Elements, and today I would like to tell you about the Elemental!

DISCLAIMER: Elementallis. Elements. Elementals. We will use these words a lot in this update. Read at your own discretion :D

Can you see this white little orb that follows you around?

This is the Elemental. You meet this little creature very early in the game.

Elementals are physical manifestations of the Elements. Even though everything in Elregir is tied to an Element, this connection is specially strong for the Elementals.

But this Elemental is white, and quite boring to be honest. Something seems wrong with it. Why is that? We won't go into much detail now, because spoilers, but you can see that when you obtain the Element of Fire, the Elemental changes its form:

Now the Elemental has a strong bond with Fire. The Elemental will now channel the fire and lend you that power, so you can use the Element yourself!

Okay, now a Fire Elemental is following around everywhere. It sure is handy when you enter dark rooms!

This Elemental is special, as I stated before, and it can bond with more Elements! You will be able to change its Element on the fly and select one of the Elements you've gathered. This can help you perform devastating attacks.

We hope you have enjoyed this little introduction to your companion and friend and hope you are excited to know more about this little mysterious creature. Also, it's kind of cute in all of its forms, don't you think? (We have plushies, pins and stickers of its forms, by the way •ᴗ•)

Sun Haven

Sun Haven provides a relaxing farming sim game that also offers RPG  gameplay for anyone who wants to do a little adventuring on the side.  While there is a main quest packed with adventure, the quest is spaced  out over time to allow the player a chance to focus on their farming,  fishing, or whatever else they want to do – this is our way of making  sure you can play the game exactly how you want to. You want to kill  monsters and get loot? Do that! You want to relax, grow some potatoes,  and flirt with the town doctor? Do that too!

Check out Sun Haven's Indiegogo!

Wanderlost

Survive then thrive in the cutest apocalypse of all time! Gather materials, craft diverse weapons and tools, build and fortify a shelter, explore a massive world filled with the secrets of a dead civilization and, whatever you do, stay clear of the zombies.

Third Stretch Goal also reached! Fourth Stretch Goal is...
almost 3 years ago – Thu, May 27, 2021 at 11:18:07 PM

Hello folks!

It seemed like things were finally slowing down a bit. But you are just incredible, generous and extremely supporting. We achieved our third Stretch Goal in less than a week! That's simply amazing and we are extremely grateful! We are now 250% funded and you are more than 1000 backers!

After hitting the 45000€ mark, a new Temple will be added to Elementallis!

Before we reveal the next Stretch Goal, quick reminder that we are running a fan art contest with physical prizes. We've received some gorgeous pieces so far and we'd like to thank all the participants.

And now, onto the reveal!

Fourth Stretch Goal Reveal: "Pixel Art Cutscenes"

If this Stretch Goal is reached, we will add Pixel Art Cutscenes to Elementallis!

Some of you may not know what we mean by Pixel Art Cutscenes, so let us explain ourselves. Nothing is more illustrative than a video showcasing them and we found one of Metroid: Zero Mission (<3) that can give you an idea of what we are planning:

We will use static pixel art images using the in-game resolution (384x216 by the way!) with panning, effects and a little movement. We will use these cutscenes for important events, past events and lore. We will also make additional music for these scenes. This is a Stretch Goal that excites us a lot, we hope we can make it with your help!

LightBreak is a narrative driven aural game that uses music as a core gameplay element and encourages players to listen while they play. LightBreak is inspired by games like Monument Valley and GRIS, and tells a beautiful story through its soundscapes. The dev team is being mentored by the producer of Harmonix's PS2 Hit; Frequency.

LightBreak features unique gameplay, incorporating puzzle elements into music creation. You control the magical instrument that Ava, the protagonist, is playing (the Saaz) -- to help her connect with her emotions and communicate her journey to her mother.

182 % funded and 702 backers!
almost 3 years ago – Thu, May 27, 2021 at 11:15:45 PM

It's been only 4 days and we are 182 % funded and 702 backers! We are also very close to our second Stretch Goal "Boss Rush", so everything is looking great!

Today we wanted to tell to you about our "Design" tiers. Would you like to design something to be included in the game?

We have 3 different design tiers: "Design an Enemy!", "Become a character in game!" and "Design a Boss Fight!". Let me tell you about them:

1) Design an Enemy!

With this reward, you'll be able to design a regular enemy. You will design how it looks, you will pick its biome (volcano, forest, swamp...), its elemental affinity and how it moves and attacks.

Example of Enemies

2) Become a character in game!

You'll be able to appear in Elementallis! Or maybe you prefer to design a character that doesn't have anything to do with you, you can do it too!

You will have to tell us how do you want the character to look, what's their name, where do they live, but that's not all! You can give us some more clues like: something happened to them? Do they have family? Are they involved in a something sinister? We will use what you tell us to make some backstory for the character and make some sort of mini quest with them involved

3) Design a Boss Fight!

Are Boss fights your favorite part? Why don't you design one? You can tell us how does the Boss look, how it behaves, what are its patterns and we'll include it in one of the Temples! You can also pick its Element :)

The Candle Boss is a good example of how bosses are in Elementallis

As a last note, please know that all of the designs must be consistent with the game. If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to contact us before pledging :)

Friends of the project

Before I wrap up, I want to take a moment to show you a couple friends of the campaign.

Lost Eidolons

If you are a Fire Emblem fan, you need to check Lost Eidolons. This tactical turn-based RPG  with a western fantasy aesthetic has amazing production values.

Reprise the role of the mercenary leader Eden and his allies in the greater conspiracy to overthrow the tyrannical Emperor Ludivictus, and wrest back control of Artemesia for her people. Count me in!

Have I mentioned that they have a beautiful Physical Edition?

Check out Lost Eidolons campaign!

Zappling Bygone

Zapling Bygone is a pixel-perfect open world platformer where you play as an alien hive-mind who murders bosses, wears their skulls, and dances on their graves.

I don't know about you, but I'm already sold. Just look how smooth the alien moves!

Second stretch goal reached, onto the next one!
almost 3 years ago – Thu, May 27, 2021 at 11:14:29 PM

Thanks to you, we have reached 35000€ and that means that we've smashed our second Stretch Goal (in just 6 days!!), Boss Rush Mode!

Before we get to the new Stretch Goal, let me remind you that we are running a Fan Art contest with awesome prizes, you can read the details here.

Alright! Time for another reveal!

Second Stretch Goal Reveal: "Additional Temple"

If this Stretch Goal is reached, we will add an additional Temple to Elementallis.

Right now, there are 8 Temples planned, one for each Element (you can play the Fire Temple in our demo, by the way). This additional Temple will be reached during the late game, and it will be a great opportunity to make something different, as it will not be based around any Element in particular.

The Temple will have puzzles, enemies, bosses and treasures, like the rest of the Temples. To give you an idea of its size, each Temple is harder (in terms of navigation, puzzle solving and enemies) than the previous one and the first Temple that we've shown, the Fire Temple, lasts around 20-30 minutes, so expect this new one to be a significant longer Temple.

Friends of the project

Before I wrap up, I want to take a moment to show you a couple friends of the campaign:

Piepacker

You already know that we are fans of retro games (Elementallis is very inspired by GB and GBA games), so obviously we love Piepacker.

Piepacker lets you play a selection of retro games in your browser and, on top that, you can play with friends! Also, if there's a game you'd like to play but it isn't on their catalogue, you can use your own physical cartridges with their own accessory, the PieReader.

Check out PiePacker's campaign!

Unsung Warriors

Unsung Warriors is a 2D Action-Platformer that can be played solo or in couch co-op mode. It mixes fantasy elements with European folk tales and mythology in a very beautiful art style.

Unsung Warriors features a diverse set of weapons and magics that encourages you to try out different tactics against different types of enemies and situations.

That last skeleton didn't stand a chance!

Check out Unsung Warriors' campaign!

As always, thank you all so much for believing in us :) We'll talk soon!
